To a certain degree, responsibility falls on the viewers. Now am I saying he has to play perfect? No. And thus he is responsible for his actions, like any normal person. So he should be culpable and aware of his actions, and how intense condemnation like he showed can be extremely harmful and disrespectful to the indie-side of things as a whole.Īnd fans should be more mature and comprehend that Markiplier isn't a God.
Markiplier is a man, but given how many times he has made videos proclaiming love and peace, he knows the impact and influence he has on other people, from charities and so on. Nor was it an apology he was initially going to make until prodded for it. On the other hand, his words carry a massive amount of weight as a celebrity that many people follow, and his words can cause people to put negative reviews on the game, or bash it and cause it to sink, submerge and cut sales that someone put a lot of time and effort into making, years even, because one grown-ass man throws a tantrum instead of taking a logical approach and putting the game down, or even making an actual apology that wasn't centered around sticking to his guns so adamantly. On one hand, Markiplier got mad at a game. I will probably perform it as a monologue sometime, it's just that good. Yes, this moment caused some controversy, but it's up there as one of my favorite moments from Markiplier ever. I don't want the developers DEAD, just to specify, cuz somebody's gonna twist my words! I just meant tie 'em up so they can't make games anymore. Have it banned, burn it all, string up the developers, I don't care. I don't believe in banning many things, except extremely this game. It's stupid! So fucking stupid! It's stupid! I'm not even gonna stop saying that it's stupid because it's fucking stupid! This game is dumb, nobody likes it, everybody hates it, nobody enjoys it! No one's enjoying this stream, no one's enjoying their day, I wanna DIE, and everybody's unhappy! Everybody's unhappy, no one is happy because of-this game causes nothing but misery. Smash the like button if it's bullshit! Which it is! This game's stupid. The game is bullshit! The game's bullshit. It's just going to be this way, I'm going to be mad.
